Ralph C. Hahn Scholarship in Civil and Environmental Engineering

Ralph C. Hahn was born in Springfield, IL in 1927. He attended University of Illinois after serving one year in the Army. As a student he worked in the office of the Dean of Students. After receiving his MS in Structural Engineering from the University of Illinois he started working in the Bridge office of the Illinois Department of Transportation.  After leaving this position in 1961 he started his own company. Ralph Hahn and Associate Engineers, Architects, and Consultants. He served on the University of Illinois Board of Trustees from 1966-1990.

Scholarships shall be provided to undergraduate students who are enrolled in the Department of Civil and Environmental Engineering in the College of Engineering at the University of Illinois.

The award is made in two equal payments: one in the Fall semester and one in the Spring semester.
