You're Invited: Student Employment Symposium
The 2019 Student Employment Symposium will be held at the ARC Auditorium on Tuesday, May 14, 2019 from 1:00-5:00 PM. This is a free professional development opportunity for faculty, staff, and graduate students interested in current student employment and supervision practices on campus. This is an excellent opportunity to network with folks across campus who employ students to support the mission and goals of their respective units.
The Symposium will feature a keynote, concurrent sessions, and lightning talks all pertaining to student employment. Topics covered may include: recruitment, hiring, training, scheduling, supervision, assessment, and more! This year we are excited to welcome our keynote speaker, Adam Peck, Acting Assistant Vice President and Dean of Student Affairs at Stephen F. Austin State University in Nacogdoches, Texas. His work has focused on connecting student employment experiences to leadership development and career readiness.
Registration for the event closes on Tuesday, May 7, 2019.
