The International Society of Soil Mechanics and Geotechnical Engineering (ISSMGE) Technical Committee (TC) 202 on Transportation Geotechnics will hold the 4th International Conference on Transportation Geotechnics (4th ICTG) in Chicago on August 30-September 2, 2020. Held every four years, this is the main conference event of TC 202. CEE at Illinois professor Erol Tutumluer is both committee and conference chair.

The focus of TC 202 is to apply broad engineering to bridge the gap between pavement/railway engineering and geotechnical engineering. Their conference is designed to promote cooperation and information exchange about the geotechnical aspects of design, construction, maintenance, monitoring and upgrading of roads, railways, airfields and harbor facilities and other ground transportation infrastructure.

The conference will feature pre-conference workshops, lectures, breakout sessions, technical exhibitions and a proceedings book of peer reviewed conference papers. More information about the 4th ICTG, including registration, can be found at http://conferences.illinois.edu/ICTG2020/
