Professor Murugesu Sivapalan has been named the 2011 winner of the Robert E. Horton Medal of the American Geophysical Union (AGU) "for fundamental contributions to the science of hydrologic predictions at the watershed scale."
The Horton Medal, awarded for outstanding contributions to hydrology, is among the highest honors bestowed by the American Geophysical Union. The award will be presented at the Honors Ceremony on December 7 at the 2011 AGU Fall Meeting in San Francisco.
