Researchers from the Rail Transportation and Engineering Center are studying crosstie and fastening systems for the Federal Railroad Administration. They recently produced a video about their work last summer at the Transportation Technology Center in Pueblo, Colo., where they constructed, instrumented and collected data from two test sections of track.
