CEE announces new department head, Jeremy S. Guest
The Grainger College of Engineering at the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign has named David C. Crawford Faculty Scholar and Civil and Environmental Engineering Professor Jeremy S. Guest the new head of the Department of Civil and Environmental Engineering.

CEE graduate student receives prestigious ASCE fellowship
Ishfaq Aziz CEE graduate student Ishfaq Aziz has received the Trent R. Dames and William W. Moore Fellowship. Aziz is one of only two students to receive this highly selective fellowship from ASCE, awarded to recipients to further the exploration of new applications of geotechnical engineering or the earth sciences to social, economic, environmental, and political issues.
