Assistant Professor Junho Song has been awarded the Junior Research Prize (under age 40) in the area of System Reliability and Optimization by the International Association for Structural Safety and Reliability. The award ceremony took place on September 15 at the 10th Annual International Conference on Structural Safety and Reliability in Osaka, Japan.
Song joined CEE at Illinois in 2005. He teaches graduate and undergraduate courses in the areas of engineering risk and uncertainty, decision and risk analysis, structural reliability, system reliability, random vibrations, and probabilistic loads on structures. His research interests lie in structural reliability, performance and reliability of complex systems, and random vibrations with applications to earthquake engineering and infrastructure systems subjected to natural and man-made hazards.

CEE has 12,000 alumni. Even a gift of $50 can make a big impact if everyone contributes. Make a difference, make a gift.
