Course Description

This course is designed to give student an in-depth understanding of the more advanced concepts in damping strategies for civil structures. The course will cover the different types of damping systems available, their basic principles, design considerations, structural implementations and experimental studies. Additionally, this course will be provided the students with bridge and building implementations.

Prerequisites

Undergraduate degree and CEE 408 or 409, or permission by instructor.
