Illinois GIS Day 2016
On November 15 join the University of Illinois and ILGISA in a celebration of GIS Day, the annual salute to geospatial technology and its power to transform and improve our lives. The event is FREE and features a map/poster competition with prizes awarded to the top three student entries. Several companies will participate in the late afternoon career connection session to speak about how GIS is used in their company, the skills they find valuable, and advice for students entering the job market. After their introductions stay to talk about current job openings and network. The event also includes a keynote address by the Founder and CEO of Urban GIS, practical GIS presentations, and lightning talk sessions to deliver GIS implementation strategies.
