In response to the recent reports of threatening acts towards students on campus and in the community, and the continued mission for the U of I campus to be a Learning Space of Inclusion and Respect of Diverse Voices, The Registered Organization “Hear My Voice” will hold an open forum for discussion, healing, and support. 

“Let Us Hear Your Voice: Coming together in Peace and Positive Proaction”
Room 1000 Lincoln Hall, November 11, 12-1pm. 

Come join the conversation, let your voice be heard and then let’s take steps for positive change towards a learning environment of respect, inclusion, and tolerance. We, the Hear My Voice project, is a cross-disciplines, collaborative group of students, faculty and staff and we are here for you.

The Central illinois Chapter for Healthcare Engineering, is pleased to announce the application period has opened for the 2016 annual scholarship. This year CICHE will be awarding two scholarships in the amount of $3,000 each to an aspiring healthcare planning, design, construction, biomedical engineering, or operations/maintenance professional. Application acceptance will begin immediately and the deadline for submission is Friday November 18th, 2016.

Applicants must meet the following requirements to be eligible for consideration:

Must be an Illinois Resident. Full-time or part-time attendance at an accredited Illinois college, university, technical, or trade school for the study of engineering, architecture, construction, biomedical technology, building operations and maintenance, or related fields. Minimum Grade Point Average (GPA) of 2.75 on a 4.0 scale or equivalent.

We have been asked by Professor Aric Rindfleisch in the College of Business to help promote his Making Things (BADM 395) course. In this course, students from business, engineering, and art & design will work together in teams to conceptualize, design, prototype, manufacture, and market a new to the world product. This course is limited to 21 students (juniors and seniors) and registration must be approved by the instructor.

Through the Feed the Future Program, the United States Agency for International Development (USAID) has increasingly emphasized research for development in food and agriculture. Funding from USAID to universities and research institutes for work in food and agriculture more than doubled between 2010 and 2015.
