URAP Graduate Mentor Applications Now Open

The Graduate College invites applications from graduate students interested in serving as Graduate Mentors in the Undergraduate Research Apprenticeship Program (URAP).

A partnership of the Graduate College and the Office of Undergraduate Research, URAP connects undergraduates who are new to research with experienced graduate students who mentor them through the research process. Graduate Mentors will define semester-long projects connected to their own research, which mentees will undertake in Spring 2021.

URAP is a valuable professional development opportunity for graduate students. Experience mentoring others and guiding their work is crucial for success in many common career paths for graduate students, including faculty careers, industry research, higher education administration, nonprofit leadership, and others.

To apply, graduate students should fill out the Graduate Mentor application form and submit all supporting materials by August 9.
