Alumni and friends of the Department of Civil and Environmental Engineering (CEE) at the University of Illinois gathered July 14 for the first annual CEE golf outing at Gleneagles Country Club in Lemont, Ill.

The networking event included lunch and a beverage on the course, plus drinks and an informal gathering in the clubhouse after the round. Players of all skill levels competed for prizes given for longest drive, closest to the pin, and longest putt. Attendees included recent grads, family members, civil and environmental company presidents, and representatives from the department.

The success of this inaugural event set the stage for more alumni networking events planned for the coming months. To be alerted about future alumni activities, please contact Breanne Ertmer by e-mail at ertmer@illinois.edu, or by phone at 217-265-5426.
