CEE at Illinois associate professor Thanh (Helen) Nguyen is one of a select group invited to attend the fifth Arab-American Frontiers of Science, Engineering and Medicine symposium, in Rabat, Morocco, November 2-4, 2017. The symposium will bring together scientists, engineers and medical professionals from the United States and the countries of the Arab League to explore research advances in a variety of fields.

Sessions at the symposium will focus on research in the fields of water, sanitation and hygiene, renewable energy, cancer, smart agriculture and smart cities. Assistant professor Jeremy Guest has also been invited, and will be a presenter in the “Water, Sanitation and Hygiene” session.
