Shedd-Vawter Memorial Fellowship

Professors emeriti Thomas C. Shedd and Jamison Vawter were distinguished members of the Civil Engineering Department for 37 years. Professor Vawter joined the staff in September 1922 and Professor Shedd a few months later. From that time on their names were linked together as teachers and as the joint authors of one of the most widely used textbooks in structural engineering.
