CEE Online: Degree Program
The CEE online master's degree programs are instructed by world-class faculty and feature an enriching engineering curriculum of in-demand knowledge that can be immediately applied in the workplace, allowing for maximum career growth.
Online Degree Program Offerings
The MS degree in Civil Engineering (non-thesis option) can be obtained completely online. Blended approaches, involving a combination of courses taken on campus and online, are also possible (contact the Coordinator of Online Programs to discuss this option). MS students can complete online program in one to five years.
Admissions and course requirements for the MS degree in Civil Engineering are administered through the program areas in our department. Currently, we offer the following concentrations online.

- Societal Risk and Hazard Mitigation (interdisciplinary)

Master of Science in Environmental Engineering
The MS degree in Environmental Engineering requires 36 credit hours (a thesis is not required). Students have the option to develop cross-disciplinary programs in consultation with their advisers. MS students can complete online program in one to five years.

The full listing of courses available in the online program includes courses offered annually and courses offered every 2 or 3 years. Students interested in individual courses should contact the department for more information on non-degree options. Be sure to check back for updates as courses are updated each semester!

Start your application with the Graduate Admissions Office. Online students should note the special program code instructions and indicate the specialty area followed by "online."

Certificates
The Certificate Program allows students to receive a certificate in a specialized area within civil and environmental engineering. Each certificate requires students to complete three or four courses, earning a B- or higher in each course. Click below for a list of all available certificates and specialty areas
