Favorite college memory:
My favorite college memory was performing the national anthem for the men's basketball team for a big ten game. It was such a special moment because I was always told growing up that music was not something I can pursue as an Arab, Muslim, and American woman. Singing the national anthem in front of about 15,000 people not only proved people wrong but shows that I can be both a proud Muslim, a proud American, and a proud Illini at the same time.

Immediate plans:
I will be releasing more original music as well as be working with an engineering company called Kimley Horn, pursuing both of my passions.

Future plans:
Hopefully by then I will have a steady income from my music and and be able to influence other Muslim women to pursue any passion of theirs, as well as work with a civil engineering non profit firm to build bridges and roads in 3rd world countries, helping as much as I can.

Singing the national anthem for the Men's Basketball team was one of the best days of my life. It wasn't only an honor because I was starting off the game by singing, but it was such an important milestone for me and my singing career. The State farm center is special to many students, not just myself. These basketball games have brought together thousands of students, making memories and creating history for our school. I am very thankful for UIUC giving me that opportunity. Thank you to the Illinois Men's Basketball for giving us the most exciting games ever, and thank you for letting me share the court with you. This will be a memory I will cherish forever.
