Fundamentals of tall building design are covered in this course. Overview of design and construction phases; structural systems for tall buildings - lateral, floor, and foundations; wind engineering and application of wind tunnel testing; loading considerations and analysis procedures; integration of structural systems with architectural and mechanical/electrical/plumbing system components; structural materials selection; construction methods and designing for constructability; project case studies
