CEE Department Head and Donald Biggar Willet Chair of Engineering Ana Barros has been re-elected to the University Corporation for Atmospheric Research (UCAR) Board of Trustees. She first joined the Board in 2022, and will now serve for an additional three-years starting in 2025.
UCAR is a nonprofit consortium of more than 120 North American colleges and universities focused on research and training in Earth system science. The Board of Trustees are elected by UCAR’s member colleges and universities at the UCAR Annual Members Meeting and have the primary responsibility of setting UCAR’s overall direction.
Founded in 1960, UCAR also functions as manager of the National Center for Atmospheric Research on behalf of the National Science Foundation.
