Assistant professor Jinhui Yan has been awarded the 2023 Gallagher Young Investigator Medal. Given every two years by the U.S. Association for Computational Mechanics, the Medal is given in recognition of outstanding accomplishments, particularly outstanding published papers, by researchers of 40 years or younger. Yan was cited for “contributions to developing novel computational methods for interface-coupled multi-physics systems and applications to advanced manufacturing."
