Graduate student Vedang Patil receives Max Zar Scholarship from the Structural Engineers Foundation.

CEE graduate student Vedang Patil has received the 2023-2024 Max Zar Scholarship from the Structural Engineers Foundation, an independent, non-profit organization dedicated to the advancement of structural engineering. The scholarship, which is managed by the Structural Engineering Association of Illinois, is awarded annually to an outstanding student pursuing his or her engineering studies in Illinois.
Patil earned his B.S. (2022) from MIT World Peace University India, where he was the top-ranked student in the department of Civil Engineering from 2018-2022. He will begin his second year at UIUC in Fall 2023, where he is working on his master’s degree in Structural Engineering.
