The Illinois Structural Health Monitoring Project (ISHMP), led by Professor Bill Spencer, was featured on the blog of Crossbow Solutions, the company that manufactures the wireless sensor platform the project utilizes.  The ISHMP is working to develop a flexible smart sensor framework for full-scale, autonomous structural health monitoring.  The group deployed the system at full scale in June on the new, cable-stayed Jindo Bridge in Korea.  A report is available on IDEALS, the Illinois Digital Environment for Access to Learning and Scholarship.
