The UCOWR Outstanding Ph.D. Dissertation Award will be presented at the UCOWR/NIWR Water Resources Conference in Minneapolis, Minn. in June, where Wallington will be asked to present his research during one of the sessions.

The UCOWR was founded in 1964 as an expansion of the Universities Council on Hydrology and is a consortium of academic institutions and affiliates invested in water resources research, education and outreach. In 2024, UCOWR recognized CEE Professor Ximing Cai with the Warren A. Hall Medal for his exceptional accomplishments and distinction of an individual in the water resources field.
