CEE Ph.D. student Zhi Zhao was named winner of the 16th U.S. National Congress on Computational Mechanics student poster competition, in the Materials, Manufacturing and Optimization track. Zhao’s poster was titled: Design of graded porous bone-like structures via a multi-material topology optimization approach. 

Zhao is advised by assistant professor X. Shelly Zhang.
