Chamteut Oh (PhD 23), was selected to receive the 2024 Edward J. Bouwer Outstanding Doctoral Dissertation Award from the Association of Environmental Engineering and Science Professors (AEESP).
Oh is an assistant professor at the University of Florida in the Department of Environmental Engineering Sciences. Oh’s dissertation is titled, “Development of Genomic Surveillance and Disinfection Technologies to Control Virus Transmission in the Environment.” His Ph.D. adviser was Professor Thanh Helen Nguyen.
The award is presented annually to recognize excellent work done by emerging researchers in the environmental engineering and science field and honor the namesake’s legacy of research and mentorship.
